The only address we use
Everything sent to THUNDER TIGER arrives at support@thundertiger-europe.com. It is the single address we publish and the single address we answer from. If a message reaches you claiming to be us from anywhere else, treat it as suspect and send it on to us so we can say whether it was genuine. We publish no phone number and no counter to walk up to; one inbox, read by the editors, is the whole front door.
Our readers are scattered across every zone on the clock, so the inbox is checked through the day rather than during one country’s office hours. Lead your subject line with the purpose of your message. A single word does it. When you are writing about a particular article, paste the link instead of the headline, because headlines get rewritten after publication and links do not move.
Subject lines that route your message
- CORRECTION: something we published is factually wrong. This is the fastest queue on the site.
- TIP: you know something that has not been reported, in any of our ten sections.
- CONFIDENTIAL: sending this could cost you something, and the message needs handling accordingly.
- PITCH: you are a writer with a story you want to report for us.
- PRESS: announcements, review offers, screening links, embargoed material.
- ADVERTISING: display inventory and campaign questions.
- PRIVACY: your personal data, cookies, and any request under a privacy law.
- LEGAL: copyright notices, formal correspondence, permissions requests.
Telling us we got it wrong
Write with CORRECTION at the front, include the link, and quote the exact sentence or figure you are disputing. Tell us what you believe the right version is and how you know it. Currency conversions, percentage bases, scores, release dates, model years, place names and the spelling of people’s names are the mistakes we make most often and the ones we most want reported. If you have the filing, the schedule, the official statement or the ruling that settles it, attach it or tell us where to find it, and the whole thing takes minutes instead of days.
Objections to framing, emphasis or a headline you think oversold the story go to the same address and are treated as complaints rather than corrections. Where it is possible, they are read by an editor who had nothing to do with the story. If you want a written answer rather than a change to the article, say so and you will get one. Our corrections policy sets out the timings.
What makes a tip worth sending
Tips are welcome from every section we cover. A memo that contradicts a company’s public statement. A recall that reached dealers weeks before it reached drivers. A withdrawn study that was never announced as withdrawn. A patch note that quietly removed a feature. A contract agreed long before the announcement said it was. Send it, and tell us how the material came to be in front of you.
A copy of a document beats a description of one every time. If you sat in a hearing, a briefing, a shareholder meeting or a match we could not staff, then what was said and who said it is exactly the message we want. We read everything. We cannot chase everything, and we never publish on the strength of a tip alone. What a tip does is tell us where to point the reporting.
If sending this could hurt you
Protect yourself before you protect the story. Write from a personal account on a personal device, never from an employer’s system and never over a network your employer runs. Make CONFIDENTIAL the first word in the subject so the message is handled that way from the second it lands. Do not attach the sensitive material to your first message. Tell us what you have in general terms and we will reply to agree a safer route before anything identifying is sent.
We do not disclose sources to anyone: not to advertisers, not to lawyers, not to governments, not to the organisation you work for. If we do not believe we can protect you, we will tell you that before you send, not afterwards.
Pitches, freelance work and press mail
Freelance pitches are read, and the ones that land are usually from people with firsthand knowledge of an industry, a competition, a country or a scene that cannot be covered properly from a desk. Two or three paragraphs will do: the story, who will talk, what documents exist, how long you think it needs. We pay for accepted work and we agree the rate before you begin. Finished pieces sent with no pitch are still read, though they fit less often.
Press releases should be pasted into the body of the message as plain text. Unsolicited attachments from senders we do not recognise are not opened. Offers of review units, preview builds, screening access, test vehicles and hosted travel go to the same inbox and are handled under our editorial standards. A release is one source among several and has never once been a finished story.
Advertising, privacy and legal mail
Advertising enquiries carry ADVERTISING in the subject. Our advertise page explains what we run, what we refuse and why nothing on this site is for sale inside an article. Advertising mail is kept apart from editorial mail, and nothing said in a sales conversation reaches the people writing and editing stories.
Requests to see, correct or delete personal data, and questions about cookies, carry PRIVACY and are handled under our privacy policy and cookie policy. Copyright notices should follow the format on our DMCA and copyright policy page and carry LEGAL. Formal legal correspondence comes to the same address; we acknowledge it, and where a service address or registered details are legally required we supply them in writing by reply.
What this inbox cannot do
We are a newsroom, not a help desk for the organisations we write about. We cannot refund a ticket, unlock an account, rebook a flight, chase a dealership or get a studio’s support team to call you back. Their own channels will do that faster than we ever could. What we can do is find out why a system is failing a lot of people at the same time. If your problem is one that others are also hitting, say so, and tell us how you know.
How long you should expect to wait
Corrections are acknowledged the same day and most are resolved within hours. Tips get a reply when we have a question or when a story comes of it. Pitches are answered inside a week. Privacy and legal requests are acknowledged within two working days. If you have waited longer than any of that, write again with the same subject line. It is far more likely that your message was sorted wrongly than that anyone decided to ignore it.
