Scosche Bets IFA Shoppers Will Buy Fewer Charging Bricks

Scosche priced a 20,000mAh GoBat 20K at $54.99 for IFA 2026, and that pack still peaks at 20W.

The Oxnard accessory maker is showing four new banks and three cables in Berlin, listed from $17.99 to $54.99, built around wall plugs and leads that never leave the brick. That is a shopper bet, not a wattage bet, and it lands on the same media day Anker used to unload a much louder charging stack.

What the GoBat 20K Can Charge at 20W

The GoBat 20K is the capacity flagship in the IFA set, a 2-in-1 hub with dual built-in USB-C leads, a USB-C port, and a USB-A port. It is rated for 20W into phones, tablets, and other small devices, which is enough to keep a handset moving and slow for anything that wants a laptop brick.

A typical 20,000mAh cell pack at 3.7 volts works out to about 74Wh, so the size is doing the work the watts are not. You get more hours in the bag, not a faster fill. The 20K is also the IFA bank that does not pick up a fold-out wall plug, so the biggest battery is the one that still needs a separate outlet adapter when the cells run down.

THE GOBAT IFA PRICE CARD

Twenty watts is ordinary phone-speed Power Delivery, not a new ceiling. The 20K’s job is extra cycles in a carry-on, with two leads already on the pack so a second device does not wait on a loose cable.

Built-In Leads Replace the Loose Cable Pile

Scosche’s own CES 2026 pages describe those leads as captive USB-C cables plus AC prongs, meaning they stay on the brick. The IFA 20K, 10K, Pro 10K, and 5K all use that trick in some form, so a traveler can skip a pouch of short USB-C cords and, on three of the four banks, skip a wall wart too.

The cost of that convenience sits in the same housing. If a captive lead frays, the whole pack is the repair, which is the trade Scosche is asking a $40 to $55 buyer to accept. The company has been walking this idea since January, when the Pro 10K was already listed as a wireless bank with captive USB-C cables, built-in AC prongs, an 18W USB-A port when plugged in, and four colors (white, black, pink, blue) for summer 2026.

FROM CES TO BERLIN

Berlin is the European press pass for a kit that was already on the CES board. The new pieces in that kit are the 20K hub and the 10K that becomes a 65W wall charger when you unfold it into an outlet.

The Wireless Pro Under-Prices the Wall-Plug 10K

The GoBat Pro 10K is the 4-in-1 in the IFA set, a 10,000mAh pack that wirelessly charges MagSafe-compatible phones, runs 20W through its captive cables or USB-C port, and folds out an AC plug. Pass-through lets it refill itself while it keeps feeding attached devices. It is stickered at $44.99, $5 under the simpler GoBat 10K.

That 10K is the 3-in-1 with a wall charger and a built-in USB-C lead. Off the wall it is still a 20W bank. On the wall it claims 65W, which is the first figure in this lineup that sounds like a small laptop adapter. If the fused-kit pitch is “one object replaces three,” the 10K is the cleaner version of that pitch, and it costs more than the Pro that adds a wireless coil.

The IFA GoBat 5K is a different 3-in-1: 5,000mAh, a 40W wall charger with foldable prongs, a captive USB-C lead, a USB-C port, pass-through, and a digital percent display, at $39.99. CES showed a 5K that was a 15W Qi2 and MagSafe wireless pack with a kickstand, also aimed at summer 2026. Treat those as two 5,000mAh bets, not one spec sheet.

The older dual-port GoBat 10K, a plain 20W card with USB-C and USB-A, was still sitting at a $49.99 sticker at the end of August, with street tags down to $29.99. The new 3-in-1 10K arrives at that same $49.99 line, so the extra wall plug and captive lead are being sold as the reason not to discount the name.

Statik’s Glow Sells for $17.99

Three cables round out the seven-SKU drop. Two of them wear GloBright, Statik’s LED jacket, and they are the only items in the set already matching a live Scosche listing at the IFA number.

THE THREE CABLES

• GloBright MultiColor: Up to 60W on USB-C or USB-A, color-changing LEDs, Statik partnership, $17.99.
• GloBright Blue: 4-foot run with blue LED illumination, 60W for compatible USB-C devices, $17.99.
• PowerPivot: 6-foot braided lead with a pivoting connector, USB-C and USB-A versions, $24.99.

Scosche’s GloBright MultiColor cable for $17.99 already names Statik on the product copy and lists 60W charging plus color-changing LEDs. Statik’s own shop sells a 60W glowing magnetic LED cable with a 360-degree head, so the IFA glow is a distribution play as much as a new invention. The light is the shelf hook. The 60W rating is the part that can actually fill a phone fast, faster than the 20K bank it will likely sit next to.

PowerPivot is older than this show. CES listed a 4-foot pivoting braided cable with a patented 360-degree swivel tip, 60W charging and data, USB-C or USB-A, for winter 2026. The IFA SKU is the 6-foot cut at $24.99. Home Depot already had PowerPivot on its July 23 assortment, which means the Berlin price is catching up to a cable that has been moving through U.S. aisles.

Anker Dropped 22 Products on the Same Floor

Anker used the same IFA media window to reveal 22 new products, spanning headphones, robot vacs, security cameras, and charging gear. In that stack it put the MagGo Power Bank Pro 2, which it called the first magnetic bank with a built-in cooling fan, and said the pack can take an iPhone 17 Pro to 50 percent in 25 minutes.

That is a different argument. Anker is selling speed, heat control, and a 22-SKU headline. Scosche is selling fewer objects in a toiletry bag. A 20,000mAh class bank in 2026 is also on sale elsewhere with 55W and built-in cables, and flagship 20K and 26K packs from the usual charging brands still advertise 65W to 300W. Scosche is not in that lane, and the 20K’s 20W rating makes that choice plain.

ShowStoppers on September 3 puts both companies in front of the same press room. Ugreen is on that list too. The hall will be full of wattage boards. Scosche’s board is a wall plug, two short leads, and a $54.99 20K that charges like last year’s midrange phone adapter.

Home Depot Put 20 Scosche SKUs on Shelves

Scosche’s IFA math only works if these bricks show up where people already buy mounts and cables. On March 5 the company was named Walmart’s 2025 Supplier of the Year for Department 10. On July 23 it said 20 charging and mounting products were going into 500 Home Depot stores and onto HomeDepot.com, including MagStack magnetic cables, StrikeLine leads, PowerPivot, and car chargers.

That is the customer these IFA prices are aimed at. $39.99 to $54.99 sits in the impulse bin, not next to a 300W Prime pack. Scosche still calls itself the No. 1 mount brand in the United States, and the GoBat name has been on dual-port 20W banks for years. Fusing a plug and a captive lead into that name is how a mount company sells another $50 of plastic without winning a wattage chart.

The GloBright pairing with Statik fits the same shelf logic. A glowing $17.99 cable is an add-on that can sit in the same planogram as the bank. It does not need a 140W USB-C port to make sense under fluorescent light.

Carry-On Rules Leave Room for a 20,000mAh Pack

Travel is the use case Scosche keeps writing on the CES cards, and the FAA rules still favor a 20,000mAh brick. Lithium-ion spare packs, including power banks, must fly in the cabin, and spare power banks stay in carry-on under that rule, never in checked bags.

• Unrestricted: Rechargeable packs rated 0 to 100Wh can fly in the cabin without airline approval.
• With approval: 101 to 160Wh, at most two spare packs per person, still cabin only.
• Forbidden: Anything over 160Wh stays off passenger aircraft.
• 20,000mAh class: About 74Wh at 3.7 volts, under the 100Wh line if the printed rating matches.

Airlines can still set tighter counts, so the printed Wh stamp on the 20K will matter more than the mAh on the box. A 10,000mAh GoBat from the last generation was labeled 36Wh at 3.6 volts. Nothing in the IFA sheet prints a Wh figure for the new 20K, which is the number a screening officer actually wants.

The IFA 2026 public days in Berlin run September 4 through 8 at Messe Berlin, after Media Days on September 2 and 3. ShowStoppers is booked for 18:00 to 21:00 CET on September 3 in Hall 5.3, across from the press center, with Scosche on the confirmed list. That is where the fused brick either looks like a travel shortcut or like a 20W pack with extra plastic.

The 20K will sit on that table at $54.99 with two leads already attached and a 20W ceiling. The Pro 10K will sit beside it for $5 less with a wireless coil and a plug. Shoppers who wanted a single object for the hotel wall already have their answer in the 10K and the 5K. Shoppers who wanted a faster 20,000mAh brick will have to walk to someone else’s stand.
