Galaxy S26 Beta 7 Ports Fold 8 AI as Stable Nears

Samsung pushed One UI 9 Beta 7 to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra on August 28, packing My FanCam, Call Brief, custom Now Brief cards and dual home-screen search bars first shipped on the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The 1.2 GB builds end in ZZHK and land in South Korea, India, Germany, Poland and the UK through the Samsung Members app.

Stable firmware ending in BZHK has already appeared on internal servers, so the full One UI 9 drop for these flagships looks weeks away at most.

The Beta That Ports Fold AI to Slabs

The official changelog stays thin. It lists “added new AI features,” improved intermittent rebooting in specific situations, and better Do Not Disturb usability. Testers and sites such as Android Authority and SamMobile quickly found the real payload: four tools that debuted with the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra in July.

Galaxy S26 owners had watched those features sit exclusive to the foldables and the just-launched S26 FE for weeks. Beta 7 ends that wait. Enrollment remains limited to the S26 series for now; older phones stay in line.

What Call Brief and My FanCam Do

Four additions stand out.

• My FanCam: After shooting any video, open Gallery, tap the Galaxy AI icon and pick a person. On-device AI tracks that subject, crops and re-centers the clip, then lets you export in multiple aspect ratios.
• Call Brief: During a phone call the screen surfaces related calendar events, reminders and emails so you stay in the conversation without switching apps. Toggle lives in Phone app settings under Call Brief.

Samsung Turned the Z Fold 8 Into an AI Lab

One UI 9 stable first appeared on the Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra and Flip 8 in July. Those devices carried the full feature set out of the box, including the AI tools now reaching the S26 beta. The S26 FE also shipped with the complete package.

This pattern is deliberate. Foldables absorb the newest Galaxy AI experiments, then Samsung back-ports the winners to the volume slab flagships once the code stabilizes. S26 owners therefore receive the same Call Brief overlays and FanCam reframing without buying a fold. The software moat between form factors shrinks; hardware hinges and cover screens remain the differentiator.

Stable Builds Already Circulating

Within a day of Beta 7, internal logs showed BZHK-tagged packages for the same S26 series. In Samsung naming, the shift from Z-series beta codes to B-series usually marks the move to public stable. The Galaxy S26 FE reaches shelves with One UI 9 preloaded. That forces the main S26 line to catch up quickly or look outdated next to its own sibling. If your S26 series phone is already in the program and sits in one of the five active countries, the update should appear automatically or under Software update. The path for My FanCam is Gallery then the Galaxy AI button on any video. Call Brief hides in the Phone app’s three-dot menu. Custom cards live under Galaxy AI settings. Search bar choice is a one-tap home-screen option.

Official documentation on Samsung’s site walks through the same flows and notes that AI feature availability can still vary by model, language and region even after the update. That caveat will matter once the stable train reaches mid-range A-series phones later in the year.
