Apple Set to Launch Two New Apps: A Siri Chatbot and Business Platform

Apple is rolling out two brand new apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac in 2026. The first is Apple Business, an all-in-one platform for companies that goes live on April 14. The second is a standalone Siri chatbot app, expected to arrive later this year with iOS 27. Together, these two apps signal a bold push into both enterprise tools and AI.

Apple Business App Launches April 14 Across 200 Countries

12 Apple Business will be available starting Tuesday, April 14, in more than 200 countries and regions. 11 Apple announced Apple Business as a new all-in-one platform that includes key services companies need to effortlessly manage devices, reach more customers, equip team members with essential apps and tools, and get support from experts to run and grow efficiently and securely.

The platform merges three older services into one. 11Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple Business Connect will no longer be available once Apple Business launches. 11Existing Business Connect data, including claimed locations, place card information, photos, organization information, account details, and more, will automatically migrate to Apple Business at launch.

Good news for current Business Essentials subscribers: 11Business Essentials customers will no longer be charged their monthly service fee for device management after April 14.

Here is a quick look at what the new Apple Business app offers:

  • Device management: 11Apple Business features built-in mobile device management, helping businesses easily configure employee groups, device settings, security, and apps with Blueprints to quickly get started.
  • Email, calendar, and directory: 11Customers can now set up business email, calendar, and directory services with their own domain name for seamless and elevated communication and collaboration.
  • Employee tools: 14With the Apple Business app, employees at businesses using the new Apple Business platform will be able to install apps for work, view contact information for colleagues, and request support.
  • Zero-touch deployment: 13New “Blueprints” enable administrators to preconfigure devices with specific settings and apps, facilitating zero-touch deployment so that employees can begin using devices immediately after unboxing.
  • Managed Apple Accounts: 13The platform introduces Managed Apple Accounts with what Apple describes as “cryptographic separation” between personal and work data, allowing employees to use the same device for both purposes without commingling information.

11 The Apple Business companion app, along with email, calendar, and directory features, will require iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26.

Apple Maps Ads Coming This Summer

One of the most surprising features bundled with Apple Business is advertising on Apple Maps. 13

Apple announced a new advertising feature tied to Apple Maps, scheduled to launch in the United States and Canada later this summer. Businesses will be able to create ads that appear at the top of search results in Maps, as well as within a new Suggested Places experience.

11 Ads on Maps builds on Apple’s broader privacy-first approach to advertising, and maintains the same privacy protections Maps users enjoy today. A user’s location and the ads they see and interact with in Maps are not associated with a user’s Apple Account. Personal data stays on a user’s device, is not collected or stored by Apple, and is not shared with third parties.

This is a big deal for small and local businesses trying to reach new customers through the Apple ecosystem.

Standalone Siri Chatbot App Codenamed “Campo”

The bigger headline is the Siri overhaul. 3Apple Inc. is testing a standalone app for its Siri voice assistant alongside a new “Ask Siri” feature that will work across the company’s software, part of a broader artificial intelligence overhaul. Apple also is modernizing Siri by giving it a fresh look and chatbot-like experience. The new Siri is slated to be unveiled June 8 at the iPhone maker’s Worldwide Developers Conference as part of the iOS 27 and macOS 27 operating systems.

7 The standalone app, codenamed “Campo,” will resemble Apple Messages and provide a central place to access previous conversations.

What the Siri app will look like and do:

  • 6 Like ChatGPT and Claude, Siri will support both text and voice-based conversations.
  • 6 The app will display either a list or grid of past conversations, with options to favorite chats, search through chats, initiate new chats, and save chats.
  • 22 The brand new version of Siri can reportedly access numerous apps as well as personal user data such as emails, notes, and text messages in order to answer a wide range of queries.
  • 5 The revamped Siri will also be able to summarize daily news from Apple News and provide more detailed responses sourced from the web.

7 Apple is experimenting with letting users bring up the app by pressing the device’s power button, but it will also support launching by voice. 7 Apple is also experimenting with putting Siri in the Dynamic Island on iPhones. Users will be able to pull down the Dynamic Island-based pane that appears and use the full app if desired.

Beyond the app, 4Apple is working on integrating Siri throughout the system in new ways with an “Ask Siri” toggle. Apple will also reportedly lean into the more capable Siri with a “Write with Siri” feature.

Apple has not officially confirmed the Siri app, its features, or a launch date. But multiple credible reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman point to a June 8 WWDC reveal.

Google Gemini Powers the New Siri Behind the Scenes

The most critical piece of this puzzle is the engine running behind it all. 28Apple and Google have entered into a multi-year collaboration under which the next generation of Apple Foundation Models will be based on Google’s Gemini models and cloud technology. These models will help power future Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized Siri coming this year.

29 Neither Apple nor Google have confirmed the price tag, but previous reports indicate Apple could be paying Google around $1 billion for access to its AI technology.

The deal goes deeper than anyone expected. 31Apple can now create custom, smaller AI models from Google’s full Gemini system, housed within Apple’s own data center facilities. According to a March 25 report from The Information, the Apple-Google Gemini partnership runs deeper than previously known. In practice, distillation access lets Apple create smaller, task-specific models from Google’s full Gemini system, housed within Apple’s own data center facilities.

28 Apple Intelligence will continue to run on Apple devices and Private Cloud Compute, while maintaining Apple’s industry-leading privacy standards. That means your personal data stays on your device or inside Apple’s private servers, even though Google’s technology sits at the core.

What This Means for iPhone Users in 2026

For everyday users, here is the bottom line:

App Launch Date Requires Who It Is For
Apple Business April 14, 2026 iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 / macOS 26 Businesses and their employees
Siri App Later in 2026 (expected with iOS 27) iOS 27 / iPadOS 27 / macOS 27 All Apple users

13 Apple Business will be available starting April 14 in more than 200 countries and regions as a free service for new and existing users of its prior business platforms. That is a win for companies tired of juggling three separate Apple tools.

The Siri app is the one most people are watching. 19The updated Siri is said to be the main feature of the iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 updates. After years of broken promises, delayed timelines, and falling behind ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, Apple is finally betting everything on a smarter Siri. 23Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman broke the news that iOS 27 is being positioned internally as Apple’s “Snow Leopard” moment.

Apple users have waited a long time for a Siri that actually feels smart. The April 14 launch of Apple Business is a sure thing. The Siri chatbot app is still unconfirmed but backed by strong reporting. If Apple delivers what the leaks promise at WWDC on June 8, it could be the most important software update in years for the iPhone. If not, it will be yet another chapter in a frustrating pattern of delays that has tested the patience of millions.
