Turning Carbon Dioxide Into Stone With New Tech
Making concrete usually creates a lot of pollution. Cement production alone is responsible for about 8 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions. Carbonaide solves this by replacing a large portion of the cement content.
Their technology uses an automated system to cure concrete with CO2. The gas binds with the concrete mix and turns into stone. This process is known as mineralization.
